If you're logged into reddit still (i killed my account), suggest he to look into the Wastewater industry. There's a lot for a chemist to do/test/etc in that field and every town has their own plants. It may not pay as much but yeah
We're all gonna end up in the same position one way or another! As long as they admit their mistake and are aware of what's going on, they deserve help. If he was vengeful/an ass/etc, then nah, he can go get fucked. But yeah.
i'm in a unique position due to being self employed, but I'm just so upset for everyone loosing their employment now :(
