I read the Italian mafia makes more money on counterfeiting olive oil and Reggiano cheese. Lotta people like those things more than whores and booze.
How do you counterfeit olive oil and cheese?
You use cheap seed oil and dye it green and slap a fake label on cheap foreign parmesan cheese claiming it's from Reggiano.
Spez: It was the subject of a 60 minutes episode. Maybe 10 years ago. Something like 80% to 90% of Italian olive oil sold in US is counterfeit or mixed / tainted. That's why I only buy Greek olive oil now. Much better! Buy any Italian olive oil in the grocery and blind taste it against any Greek oil. It's so obvious one is real and one is fake!
You sell bottles of extra virgin olive oil made from olives that have already been fucked.
