This just means you will end up paying a bit more for your protest action.. You will have to actually buy the stock and not a fractional buy option.. That means only the serious will be paying several hundred dollars a share when these $10 to $20 dollar value stocks spike.. So if you aren't into loosing $100 bucks to screw a fat cat the party is over.. This is about all they can do to legally prevent the skyrockets.. If you can find a pool that is still non restricting which I doubt you could play the game as before.. Seems the Canadians don't have such restrictions so they plan to pump these pain makers for us until their government shuts it down..

Short options in those stocks would be too risky now for any retail investor.
I use tdameritrade(its schwabbs now) and was able to enter order for gme.
