Short selling is fine. You might not like it but there is nothing wrong with it.

Firms selling your stocks without permission, shutting the market down at the behest of a firm, weaponizing the SEC against citizens, the WH pressuring a company to freeze sales; that should be illegal and I'm pretty sure is illegal.
