Be smarter than this. This is total bullshit, this is a SCREEN TIME permission feature so your kids don’t delete apps. Enough chain letter retardation:

Why is there an option to let them delete stuff from your phone in the first place?!

Google can do the same thing except that Android being more open by default means you can just re-install the APK.

I likely won't buy another apple phone again but mine is currently jailbroken so it's not like they can delete it from my phone anyway.

because dumb apple sheep let their overlord steve jobs decide what they can or cannot do. They pay to rent the device. Everything is owned and set by apple.

Unfortunately this sick model was adopted by google and now increasingly by MS.

So... agree that this seems like a BS rumor spreading.

But have to ask... if it was even remotely possible... wouldn't it be easier to just NOT turn on the "Content and Privacy Restrictions"?

It sure looks like BS, but there's a possibility restricting app removal with Screen Time applies not only to the user, but also to the system. If so Apple will just fix it at the next iOS update.

Why Telegram but not Signal?

3
harrymccrotch 3 points ago +3 / -0

Completely different concept. Telegram is one-to-many (and many-to-many) communication. Signal is one-to-one private communication.

Actual Telegram source? Been seeing a bunch of tweets saying Telegram said Apple is deleting the app, but have actually yet to see Telegram actually say that.

Plus that setting is just a parental control. If Apple really wanted to delete an app off your phone, no setting would stop them.
