When I hear that someone went to Harvard, I instantly lose respect for them.

One of my mentors in a sport that I love was a Harvard man. He had a PhD in mathematics. In WWII, he was a radio man, and he took one thing home from the battlefield. It wasn't a Luger. It was a slide rule. "Complete bastards", he'd say, "but the Germans created the best engineers in the world."

Times have changed.

Oh, definitely. The oldies that went to Harvard are generally much more respectable.

But still, most Harvard grads are absolute faggots.

They filter students who would do well anyway with the exception of people like this who were admitted on a pseudo-celeb ride. Meanwhile, if you focus on what you’re good at a enjoy, success can follow...for example, many CEO’s graduate Penn State: https://www.cnbc.com/2018/06/19/the-no-2-school-for-graduating-ceos-is-penn-state-not-harvard-or-mit.html

Granted they have more students and the CEO salary on avg may be lower, but it’s still a smarter move for most students. 2 years community, 2 years PSU. Also note, this is some BS linkedin data - but I know PSU and given the number of students, it sounds about right.
