It's not good to upvote posts that consist of false or completely unverified claims. If somebody wants to raise a question, then post it as a question. Littering this forum with posts that consist of false claims stated as fact or "breaking" just harms the credibility and level of discourse of the forum.

It's still good to upvote for visibility. Increases the chance of discovery if there is something to it.
