I've lived in an area (Riverwest area) that for the past 10 years has had very little crime (and with one exception very little violent crime), in the past two weeks, due to the rash of car hijackings, we have had an armed robbery outside on our tiny street, and two shootings (no one fortunately hurt). I just spoke with the police about the second shooting as I was able to see the vehicles after I heard the shots. What a fucking shithole. There is no way Kim Fox got 70% of the vote, even die hard liberal friends agree with me on this, yet she is letting this underage car jackers go. I know you have no sympathy for pedes stuck in these places, but this is so fucked-up, they give these fuckers snacks and let them watch 3 hours of videos when they catch them rather than hard time. I've liked my life here, but now all of the people stuck here have to pay the price for these liberal idiots voting for idiotic policies that make everyone worse off. Sadly no one there actually voted for it. (I believe they might have in the past) Your stuck in a rigged system. Iām 70 miles from Seattle and feel bad for the pedes stuck there too. My best friend just got out and lives a couple blocks from me now. He said the last 2 years it became extremely unbearable, and snagged a work from home gig. He might be an autist. š
Doesn't matter if you live on 5 acres in TX: the nearest neighbors WILL sell and the buyers divide it all up and before you know it, it's like you're living on a Chicago cul-de-sac with carjackings on the hour. Yep, agree 100%. I used to do contract-night cleaning for a grocery chain on the southside, up to last year. Pay was great, even though I drove from Michigan. I quit, mainly bacause the chain store nor the city would allow me to carry a gun to protect myself, even though I am licensed in Indiana and Michigan. Chicago is dead to me .
I used to be around Riverwest Milwaukee, same thing. I would count pop pops at night. We have a feckless Mayor Barret, not the gun either :P

The day came when my dad convinced my mom. An 8 year old boy found a car jackers gun he'd thrown away. The little boy took it home to show his mom. He shot her dead with it. We moved that very month.

Thanks, yes very aware. So are the police, they openly spoke about how hopeless these new car jackings are to stop due to the state/city/prosecutors office policies.
