If the American economy tanks, but Canada, the UK, Germany, etc. make it out okay (they will), they'll have the world order they were looking for with China at the helm. American Patriots will be poor and destitute out on the streets facing an angry mob equivalent to the German people after the Great Depression. Someone like AOC will lick their wounds and work with the international community to Build Back Better.
