because it actually does minimize spread. It's not perfect but it's actually best if you are going to be within so many feet of so many people.
the people that think it's a cure, or it's going to STOP the spread are absolute fucking loonies.
Covid death rate is comparable to the flu.
We never wore masks for that, and masks can actually build up harmful cultures if not replaced or disinfected regularly.
You don't prescribe medicine for people who aren't sick.
I totally agree. More negatives and common sense overrule what's been done by wide margins. I told my daughter NEVER let them make you, or convince you to wear a mask in school. Right now it's a measly fucking 2 hours a day, four days a week.
Wait a minute, they are in school 8 hours a week?
that's it. I guess that's better than nothing?
My son's preschool is actually picking her up and has a school age program so I'm very lucky. The preschool is Baptist-based and hasn't been shut down one single day. They haven't been forced to, nor needed to mandate any mask wearing so I feel really lucky my kids are at school while I pay the bills working best I can.
