Shortly after President Trump mentioned this, I saw a Dr. interviewed who explained why they felt it helped. He explained that areas along the equator had fewer cases. Those areas also have high instances of malaria which is treated with hydroxychloroquine. Made sense to me, but the MSM made no mention of this.
