Robinhood was set up by the hedge funds to scalp the proles. They can offer free trading as they scalp users on every buy and every sell. The market it is a ponzi on it's last legs...the only way they could get fresh hosts in to parasite off of was by offering free trading. They call it "robin hood" as a twisted inside joke.
