Yea, I mean even when technologically possible people need to think in “Occam’s razor” terms and stop believing every crazy unnecessarily elaborate idea. If someone wants to start fires they just use a lighter and a gas can or something, especially if the area is not some sort of hostile enemy territory. Arson investigators won’t be looking for lasers, and neither should the average person if they suspect arson.
