You can use amazon to find products and read reviews, then lookup the vendors selling the item - very often you will find one that is an actual store. You then buy from them directly and cut Amazon out.
Example - I recently was looking for a particular book. On Amazon, I looked up each vendor selling that book - some were US based and a lot were overseas. The US ones I searched to see if they had a physical address. Thriftbooks was the most legit looking, had their own site, and I wound up buying more books with my order. Have gotten the books now.
A little more work, but worth it to starve the beast.
Yeah.... These people need to be taken down!
I took the decision to only support small business/mom & pop shops that were struggling through covid, haven't used Amazon in almost a year. It takes a bit of thinking about at first, but the day I use them again, will be the day I sell my stock 😎
That’s awesome. I’ve been trying to buy more items at my local grocery store. If I really need something, I feel like even Walmart is better than Amazon. The tech giants have too much power.
It honestly can be done... I've been repurposing & reusing a lot of things. Thinking before going out to buy stuff... Your be amazed how much useful stuff you can find in your garage or loft space. I make all my own sauces now from veggies I find at the market. Switched off from cable TV, Facebook, never, never buy mail order unless it's direct from the actual supplier... It gets easier all the time & you know what, you'll feel mentally much stronger, more resourceful & less like you're being controlled by world events 👍
My ups driver was at my house every day delivering something from Amazon for the last 4 years. Between my wife and I, we spent over $160k on Amazon in the last 10years (you can run reports on Amazon site to see how much you've spent). I haven't seen UPS in over 10 days. If there is alternative to Amazon, we're using it.
I cant not shop there anymore than i already dont shop there. I think amazon got 20 bucks from me the last 10 years.

I hope business minded conservatives make alternatives for us to shop at
