Understood. It's only cash that is in my "fun money" account and only a fraction of it...just want to help..not make money
This is what I was going to warn you about, that playing stocks is gambling, and don't play with anything you can't afford to lose, but sounds like you've already got that sorted.
That being said, I know WSB had a shortlist of stocks they were targeting but I'm not sure which beyond GME and AMC.
I appreciate it. Wife likes to go to the casino occasionally. We only take what we dont need. I assume stock market is similar.
In that case...
Hedge Funds mostly do one thing.... SHORT STOCKS... in doing this, they make a ton of money - and when they COLLUDE AND GET TOGETHER TO SHORT up to 140%+ of existing stock in a company - to DRIVE A COMPANY STOCK TO 0.... That is not Financial analysis - that is fraud. Not a 'hostile takeover' - absolutely nothing to do with the company of the business model or the economy... this is Financial RAPE AND MURDER of existing shareholders.
Sadly shorting is a needed practice in financial markets to 'move negative information/news' to investors quickly... but NOT to rip off investors.
Try this out for a while....
STOCK BUYING SIMULATIONS... to get to understand 'how it works' - why - the costs... and the taxes ... and the process...

If you buy at $300 - and the shorts expire - the Hedge Funds might just walk away - and the price would drop as demand would fall... Because right now those short positions ARE FORCING THE HEDGE FUNDS TO BUY STOCK... but that will not last forever...
Realize - There is a game of 'chicken' going on here... and those buying at the run up high price - will be the ones holding the bag when the gamesmanship ends and Hedge Funds has stopped shorting.
