What should be litigated is the SC refusal to hear the case on election fraud.

Yet they were all over the Bush/Gore case.

That case was long decided before it even came to their doors.

... after he get charged, convicted, and sentenced, of course.. we're still a Constitutional Republic.

The fact that they haven't dismissed the case and are impeaching a private citizen shows this isn't about his supposed crimes. It's about revenge and making sure no one ever tries MAGA ever again.

Because Roberts will be called as a witness as to why he pressured the other justices to agree to drop the Texas lawsuit and explain his "no standing" bullshit

ProphetOfKek 26 points ago +26 / -0

Lol if you think they will call him as a witness I have some nice swampland to sell you.

John Roberts needs to step down from the Supreme Court! He doesn’t seem to be worried about it because the dominoes shake but they never fall!

800080 3 points ago +3 / -0

But not right now.

Biden will appoint. You want Chief Justice Elizabeth Warren? Or worse?

As bad as Roberts was, especially in the the last year or so, he's a placeholder.

Of course, if they pack the court then what does it matter.

No one will ever be able to convince me that the deep state didn't keep Roger Stone and Michael Flynn tied up in bullshit for four years so that they couldn't advise GEOTUS. They turned them into weaponized lepers so that they couldn't get near the Whitehouse.

This is how they were able to surround Trump with traitors.

Been screaming the same thing since Roberts dodged.... This is Unconstitutional.

They may be thinking Revenge, but the reality is that handled in a way that only DJT has the gift for, the first six months of the supposed Biden administration will be dominated by The Donald.

And with Crazy Nancy referring to Congressional Republicans as the enemy within, the Dems seem intent on proving beyond any doubt just how big of a clusterfuck they are.

We have no laws, it’s like the Wild West. Society is getting ready to Break Apart. Two separate justice Systems. Two separate stock markets. I don’t know how much more are people gonna take of this.

If Roberts isn't there, neither should any Republican be there or even the defense. Especially the 45 who voted that this impeachment was unconstitutional as their participation would indicate a willful violation of their constitutional oath.

Let the Democrats have their charade alone, by themselves.

6
COLDWARPATRIOT55 6 points ago +6 / -0

It’s not constitutional. Thus Robert’s cannot president.

The Democrat "Impeachment" will be invalid.

How can Leahy be a judge and juror at the same time? He needs to recuse himself from the vote.

King_Boobus_Toobus 4 points ago +4 / -0

The failure of SCOTUS to take action between Nov 3rd and Jan 20th is the biggest failure in the history of the United States. If this ends in Civil War, this will be the cause.

3
ceremony 3 points ago +3 / -0

Amen - I couldn't agree with you more.

Why do we even have a bunch of overweight geriatric judges that are appointed for life, and elevated to a higher pedestal than anyone else - including presidents.

If the country calls on them for their help - and they refuse to even consider a most urgent and significant case - then frankly, they ought not to be who/where they are.

Yep.

SurfingUSA 3 points ago +3 / -0

Boris Epshsteyn on Bannon War Room just now said that Trump should file a temporary restraining order against the impeachment with Scotus NOTING basically WTF I'm no longer President.

Roberts' recusal OUGHT to be a bright beacon that a restraining order would just possibly WORK.

3
ceremony 3 points ago +3 / -0

The fact that Roberts is not presiding reveals this to be a sham.

Trump is better off this way.

If Roberts were to preside, this could be legitimate, and the consequences severe for Trump/Patriot movement.

1
knivey 1 point ago +1 / -0

Exactly, I don't see any benefit for Trump to file a suit yet what if that just makes Roberts preside. Better off to just wait and if they do impeach challenge it in court later if trump wants to run again.

2
Truglow 2 points ago +2 / -0

Roberts has over played his hand.

2
Nimblenavigator1 2 points ago +2 / -0

Don’t even entertain this banana republic shit.

2
UnauthorizedCaranx 2 points ago +2 / -0

The democrats don’t care about the constitution. They tore that up years ago

2
Gr4ck3L 2 points ago +2 / -0

It's the same picture

2
mclsusan 2 points ago +2 / -0

The way I understand it, he can't preside over the hearing because Trump is not the President.... and it is a Presidential impeachment. What they're doing is simply what they always do.... HATE.

2
BigCovfefe 2 points ago +2 / -0

Trump should just ignore this "trial". Its just a meeting. All R's should pretend it doesn't exist. Who gives a shit.

1
rentfREEEE_since2016 1 point ago +1 / -0

“After reviewing the plaintiff Donald J Trump case filing regarding his impeachment trial, the court votes not to hear this case for lack of standing, as the President is no longer president. Therefore the impeachment trial of a president who’s no longer president may proceed ”

Clown court probably.

1
JayMW 1 point ago +2 / -1

Roberts is staying out of it because the constitutionality of this whole trial will be brought to the supreme court if they do vote to convict Trump.

1
tootthebighorn 1 point ago +1 / -0

How do you litigate this?

1
LesboPregnancyScare 1 point ago +1 / -0
