There's been no action on this legislation since it was introduced on the 4th. We know they want to devastate 2A, but its important to remember that of all the many thousands of bills that Congress introduces only a very small percentage become law.
Its good to see what the grabbers are thinking, but until this advances there's no reason to focus on this fight while we have so many others raging around us.
What they do is draft an extreme law. Then they make a compromise version that has maybe 10%-20%. Repeat every few years and gradually they get all the restrictions they want.
Even 5% of this is a declaration of war against 2A. Don’t wait until even standing there armed makes you a felon

Stuff like this isn't meant to pass. It's meant to prime people for the next bill with less restrictions; so they can say "See we're compromising with you. Compare this to the last one we wanted and you'll see we're giving up a lot here." If that one doesn't fly either, then they'll water it down even more and do it again.
The goal is only to get a few restrictions, then a few more later, then a few more after that until they get what they want.

So, one of the top lines states that when you register, you have to state the date of acquisition of the firearm. Most of my firearms were either gifted or inherited. I wouldn't have a clue as to what specific date each one was acquired. What then? Is registration denied, and the firearm seized?
