Ok, so we complete the pipeline. Now, do all the railroad employees get the boot and go on welfare? Same with the semi truck tankers? I'm not a greeny, just trying to see thru the chaff here. Canada needs an ocean shore outlet for the oil. Doesn't the oil have a better chance of STAYING HERE rather than being shot out of the country via the pipeline?

And not at a loss, which is the real dealbreaker. They don't want to kill American industry, just the profitable ones.
The entire reason they shut down the pipeline was for "muh environmental reasons". (Which is really just a cover for his crony buddies that get paid to haul it via trucking and trains)
When in-fact, it will be far worse on the environment via trucking and trains.
Look on the map??? That XL pipeline shoots the oil down to the Gulf and out of the country! It's ALL ABOUT exporting crude to unknown parts of the world.
Additionally, a pipeline is an easy target for a terrorist, be it a GreenPeace Nut or the other flavors.
So too are railroads that haul it like Buffett owned BNSF.
