Am I missing something or was there some sort of announcement I cant find? This has been his policy for months but I dont see him acting on it.

CHINA wants the second ammendment to remain as it is. They want us to be busy fighting over everything, guns included. Everyone thinks China is going to invade us. Reality dictates that they'll watch us fight each other to death over every single issue, without resolve, and they'll just come buy all the pieces that are left over for pennies on the dollar when the economy ultimately collapses. They don't need to invade when ultimately we'll be responsible for our own downfall.

Just my opinion as an ardent gun owner.
