If poll taxes were ruled unconstitutional because they hampered blacks and women’s’ right to vote (they couldn’t afford the tax and so couldn’t vote), then a $200 tax on assault rifles and high capacity magazines hampers our right to bear arms if we can’t afford it and should therefore be unconstitutional.
