A LOT of liberal or left peeps of various ethnicities from white to black and everything in between (except mixed kids, they are hyper aware regardless of background) over these last many years have shown in my presence not just a lack of awareness of the distinct differences in sub group features, but an open dismissive blithe uncaring that they are faceblind outside their own narrow racial group.
It is a PARTICULARLY strong failing in Millennials or younger that are upper middle and above whites and urban to semi urban blacks.
They are.....almost proud of it. Like it indicates a LACK of racism rather than a manifestation of seeing ALL of a larger diverse racial group as interchangeable...
To ME he has a remarkably distinctive combination of Asian etc features, and it is highly unlikely I would mistake some random other in photos or person as him.
