This is just one of the toxic consequences of Affirmative Action; it's intrinsic to the fucked-up meta-racist logic behind it. Inconvenient FACTS are now treated as racist if they don't fit the woke narrative. Institutions apply racial (i.e., racist) quotas to every aspect of society--to "help" blacks by redressing past mistreatment, so the logic goes; this leads to suppressing even the most objective statistics, which aggravates already worsening problems by ignoring them. Quota-logic means that it's now racist simply to report the wildly disproportionate black crime rate, because the statistics include "too many minorities." Black gangs continually target each other with guns. Cops are targeted by BLM activists for even noticing this. The result is the crime encouraged by airbrushing of black crime actually increases because it goes unchecked by police for fear of being labeled as racist. And the ultimate stupidity is that black "activist" politics actually increases the victimization of blacks BY blacks. Which is then blamed on cops. Which leads to more crime as cops become too scared to enforce the law. Then anarchy: we've been seeing only a taste of that in e.g. Portland and Detroit, where it has been implicitly legitimized by the kid-glove treatment of mayors and DAs. The net result is the normalizing of pathological ghetto culture, and this normalizing (which is itself pathological) spreads throughout society, leading to a general lowering of moral standards. Those who engage in the trashiest kinds of behavior become trend-sitters to be emulated, and our entire culture becomes a race to the bottom. Criminal behavior is not only condoned but romanticized. Gangstas are cool; they're "sticking it to the man" and "punching up" at whitey--by killing each other.

"Justice" Ginsburg herself admitted that Affirmative Action was unfair, but insisted it was necessary to redress past wrongs, and would no longer be needed once social equity was achieved. Right. And we'll know it's time to abolish AA when the BLM officially announces social equity has been achieved. Affirmative Action is the grift that keeps on grifting.
