I'm all for acting but big grand gestures that don't accomplish anything don't move our agenda forward. Now, what happened to the GME shortsale, that was acting and patriots et al put their own wallets on the line to make a point. We made that point and we'll probablyhave to do it again but having street fights with all the street hoodlums the Dems have ginned up in Portland doesn't move anything forward. Again, it's just theatre and playing the emo game. I know you want some sort of big cathartic hoopla but that's not going to happen. This is a long hard fight, maybe a generational fight and it's not going to be won by those who aren't keeping the long game in mind.
There was nothing the Proud Boys or Patriot Prayer rally or "do something violent in the streets NAO!" crowd was going to be able to accomplish against Antifa and BLM because it WASN'T just Antifa/BLM playing the riot game.
Read that article and pay attention to how the city councils and mayors in those areas knew exactly what was happening and actively ran interference for Antifa/BLM and maneuvered to unfairly and harshly put down any right wingers.
What do you think having a bunch of flip side street fighters in Portland or Seattle was going to accomplish? All our street fighters would be given ten year sentences while Antifa and BLM would just be let off the same day? Were we supposed to have hoardes of right wingers get themselves arrested just to "fight back"? That's a wrongheaded strategy.
Look at what Matt Gaetz did in Wyoming to Lizz Cheney. That's what we need to do. We need to make our appearances in deep red areas and have our right wing media cover it.
