Power corrupts, absolutely and always has - that's human nature.
It's why the Catholic Church freaked out in the 1400s as Protestantism grew and demanded to be able to read the Bible which the Catholic Church kept locked up (and in latin) to keep the populace under control.
The reformation changed all that - effectively saying that the PEOPLE had the right to determine how they were to communicate and believe in God (Even if you're an atheist you have to understand that that's a MAJOR power shift to self-determination and individuality).
Then, once people realized that if they could choose how to follow God then they should also be able to choose how they're governed, well... that's when things got a little crazy and THAT'S what directly led to the founding of the United States of America.
The people (like the ants in A Bugs Life) have always had the power but over the millenia we get duped into thinking that we're too stupid to know better and believe that the Great and Powerful Oz is all powerful and omniscient - until we realize once again that he's just a man behind the curtain.
We did. And they cheated and committed crimes. Election officials, BLM and others need to go to jail. Never stop talking about ELECTION FRAUD.
Not so sure they have effectively taken control of anything. Withholding my opinion until it finishes playing out.
Check your history - this has always been true.
