Good, keep working till it's done and you have redundant systems to make sure. Water is life. You can live for a long time with no food. Without water you die hard fast. Do you have room to plant a large enough garden to feed everyone in the family?
I have 2 acres, but trees cover half of that. Been thinking about clearing more land. I live alone, so only family I have are parents and a brother who live 45 minute away.

Some wells are too deep to hand draw water. Power is a must in some cases/
