...the fuck do we need an interpreter for speeches when closed captioning is a thing anyway?

No seriously, can someone please explain why it's so important to have someone in the corner doing bad karate every time a politician speaks when we could just write their goddamn words on the bottom of the feed?(apologies if i double-posted, my internet took a shit)
