I only had a Twitter account for a few weeks just around election time. I wanted to gauge inter/support in here in Ireland after being on a radio show defending Trump. I quickly realized it was full of hate and anger. Just like Facebook is all about ego and virtue signaling. Neither one made me feel good about people. That’s when I came here and actually felt like i was among my own species. But I never thought shit was that foul on Twitter. And it was out in the open like they didn’t give a fuck. I’m beyond angry right now.
social media (ppl's behavior) is really good at pushing anger. like in the corporate press "if it bleeds it leads". they're really easy outlets for ppl to "vent" but left has no breaks. plus its a game. ppl are rewarded with likes and retweets for salacious content. it's designed to be this way and thats both a blessing and a curse.
accept the absurdism of the world and things are a lot more fun and tolerable. i recommend looking into michael malice. he has a lot of thought provoking insight into this new world everyones discovering they are in.
Leave Twatter. Delete profile, forget it existed.
I did - after 10 years. I had 60K tweets. Feels good.
Yea I was on and gone within a few weeks. Bad atmosphere in there. Well done to you after that amount of time.
yeah.. finding and reporting accounts is sorta tricky but not that tricky. its a rabbit hole no one wants to go down cuz its so disturbing.
