That’s direct evidence he was a bad hire. I’m going to have a chat with Trump on that one

Big red flag. How did Trump get tricked into not picking legitimate people for such important positions? That I think may be my one big criticism of an otherwise excellent president.

Senate confirmations controlled by the swamp turtle. Also, bad advice from supposed "trusted advisors."

It's also my biggest criticism. First it was Christie picking his own guys for key appointments, then Sessions taking the most important job needed to protect him, then many appointments of deep state types.

In a do-over scenario, all of Obama appointees should have been wiped out and Flynn and a few other key insiders should have vetted the candidates.

Oh, and fuck Pence. He had me fooled too.

Yes, choosing people who are supposed to prosecute the biggest criminals on the planet who instead protected them was a bit of a problem, and also why he got removed from the WH.

Agreed. He was mislead by many of those around him I think. I think also the full brunt of corruption was leveled against anyone he picked not already bought and they then either caved or quit.

Reagan's mistake was trusting the Democrats.

Trump's mistake was trusting the Republicans.

Confidence means they have confirmed he will continue to cover up everything and not prosecute any of the swamp and lie if called to Congress

Precisely. Trump believed the law enforcement agencies actually cared about the law. Sadly they do not.
