Anyone in construction knows exactly what you are talking about. I managed to feed my family diring the obama years, just. And by taking any tasteless task i could. But yeah, the concrete business is pretty specialized.
They’re doing it again. Fucking both parties put wall street first. I hope people see, that is a scam now.
My husband and I worked five part time jobs between us during the Obama years. We're doing fine now thanks to Trump but we still haven't paid back all our debt. I have a lot of sympathy for those who are out of work right and been laid off. We tried for years to get full time jobs and we suspect, no one even ever looked at us as applicants and all the "new jobs" were pretend during the Obama years.
I got fired from a good job in my early 20s. I was stupid, i told the owner if he fired my buddy, he’d have to fire me too. Boss sad,ok have it your way.
After a period of self loathing, i decided to apply for three jobs every day. By the end ofthe week, i had three jobs, 2 shifts m-s, and one shift on sunday. That was probably the most disposable income i ever had.
If you’re in a shitty job/s, never stop applying for new ones. You best negotiating stance is when they have to beat the pay and benefits you have. Its easy, if they are offering $15, and you are already making that, hold out for $20 and maybe settle for 18.
yep. I really feel for those families that got laid off. I'm experiencing some post trauma melancholy on their behalf because it's exactly how my family's descent into an earthly hell happened. I also pray for them and for my family so we can be spared this time around.
I'm fortunate enough to work in IT for an industry deemed "essential" in my state, financial. Very regional and worked day and night for PPP stuff. We all wanted to help. It hurts watching local businesses suffer because spouses and family of employees were heavily impacted. Like a spouse had to close his appliance business for months while Lowes sold the same thing. Our area is huge on community and everyone I know is making efforts to buy local. Even if it costs more. My GF and I bought gift cards for restaurants and businesses. I haven't set foot in a state run liqueur store, actually i tried and was reprimanded for not wearing a mask early last year. I never went back. We have several local distilleries I now patron.
Bless you for making the effort to keep businesses afloat. I just don't know how so many people in power can be so cruel and callous to the people who are really suffering because of this. I mean this for the Keystone Pipeline workers, the restaurant owners, the churches, the everyone who is really struggling right now. I hope we're not going to see four or five more years of >3% growth in GDP because I don't think the country can take it. I am so angry at Democrats for doing this to the country and the media for blasting it's hate all over the place for the last five years. Mostly, though, I just want people to be able to find jobs, go to work and enjoy a good economy but I don't think that's going to happen.
About two and half years ago, my hubby got a good job. Then I got one. We sold the house in Minneapolis about year ago and moved to a small town. New school too. We converted to Catholicism and go to Church now. Life has never been better. Everyone is happy and we're never going to take this happiness for granted again.
Interestingly, "This is for you, dad" was also a slogan of anti-government protests in Serbia last year. Sometimes I really think someone is experimenting on us.
When communism died in Yeltsin after his visit to Randall’s, one of his comments was that he was tired of Russians being experimented on for so long.
If you look, it’s everywhere. We’re their revenue generating cattle and they need to constantly tweak to maintain control and maximize cattle profit generation.
My mom and dad lost everything in 2007. 3 investment properties, the business we all worked to build for 30 years, their life savings, and the home I grew up in. They wound up living in a trailer.
I spent the last ten years building a new business stronger than before and recession proof. We just purchased new investment properties but with cash so they are bullet proof. We have all moved into a large rural property. Everybody has a monthly nut of about $700.
Nobody will ever fuck with my family again. This newfound financial freedom has left me with lots of extra income. I'm thinking I'm gonna be spending some of it so I can say, "THIS IS FOR YOU, DAD!"
Both my husband and my son are civil engineers. Everyone in construction got burned during those years. Tons of people were laid off and those that remained were expected to do the job of three people. No one could get work as there were no jobs to be had. The saddest part of having this election stolen is what effect it will have on people who need to work, but can't, because these evil people will kill off all the jobs and ruin our economy. The Obama years were torture.
It's amazing you would post this on the same internet that has pictures of wall street bankers laughing while drinking champagne on balconies above occupy protest, but hey I'm sure you saw no election fraud either!!

That's advice for a young adult. I'm not a young adult.
Without mouths to feed. Solid advice for someone starting out, not a family supporter.

Umm, thats advice for anyone, you do what you gotta do to improve your situation.
But hey, you do you. One of my favorite trump quotes is “never, ever, ever, give up”.

This sounds like such a load of bullshit.
"I saw hedge funders literally drinking champagne as they looked down on thr Occupy Wall Street protestors".
No, you literally didn't.
Only an absolute retard would buy this nonsense.
It's amazing you would post this on the same internet that has pictures of wall street bankers laughing while drinking champagne on balconies above occupy protest, but hey I'm sure you saw no election fraud either!!
Sauce or its BS.
Also, you still didn't "literally see it".
Now its, "the internet has pictures of wall street bankers etc....".
-.-
You watched your father and your country get fucked on?! You should be ashamed!!!
