Failure to pay property tax can result in auction of your land.
IMO since the land was paid for with money that was already taxed via income tax then a recurring annual tax is theft. I would be okay with a one time sales tax on the land at time of purchase but a recurring tax that can result in forcible repossession of “your” property doesn’t sound a lot like “ownership” to me.
In Oklahoma the taxes aren’t too bad but Texas.. mufucker... people stroke off to Texas bc no state income tax but property tax can quickly eat up any money saved depending on the amount of land you own.
In what country do you actually own land?
Oklahoma and Texas.

Wat?
Actually sales tax is the only legal way of tax from the original constitution. It punishes consumption and its indirect.
Income tax punishes production, property tax punishes homeownership and landlords, etc.
This...property taxes here are easily double other states.
Building code, fire code, zoning. Fees, taxes. Nope you don’t actually own shit.
Good question though, where do you actually own?
Your debt.
Scratch that: I have to exclude entitled millennial college grads.
