NUMMI (located in Fremont, SF Gay Area, Commiefornia) eventually folded and was closed for a few years, before TESLA re-opened it and provided jobs for the laid-off local workers (not on as big a scale at first). After a decade to where it was just about back to peak production, Commiefornia with their idiotic regulations and taxes drove TESLA away and now they manufacture their cars in Texas.
Detroit looks that way, because the car mfg business moved to Japan. Nagasaki is in Japan
Of course, the car mfg moved out of Motor city because of the labor unions and dem Policies
