Trump was loud, his behaviour often vulgar, but his policies were very normal. Tax cuts, reducing regulations, strengthening the military and securing borders...these are normal Republican policies.

Avoiding new wars, insisting 'friends' pay their share of their own defense, and finding new ways to drive peace in the Middle East are perhaps less normal but most independents would find them laudable.

By contrast, Biden works hard at looking and sounding normal, but his polices are abnormal in the extreme. Wiping out women's sport on day one by insisting any man who identifies as a woman can compete against women is not normal.

Destroying thousands of jobs by stopping the Keystone Pipeline and thus forcing oil to be transported by road and increasing pollution is not normal. Stopping the deportation of illegal immigrants who have committed serious crimes is not normal.

People who voted for a return to normalcy should go beyond the media facade and look at what is actually happening.
