I think the reason you've got a bunch of downvotes on your original comment is that it comes off as pro-antifa (as though we should be locking arms with them). Viewed as just a statement from a government perspective your comment makes sense but viewed from a citizen perspective your comment makes no sense.
IOW you've confused people about what you are saying because you're not using the right words for your audience.
