The coin serves no real function other than it’s a very cheap, high volume crypto currency coin that’s been around for a long time. It’ll never be anything other than what it is right now which is mainly a pump and dump coin. Look at the charts from inception. Random pump and dumps by whales. You can be successful with it but you need to be careful. The whales do most of the moving.
Its underlaying tech is pretty good. Much faster that Bitcoin. Have not looked at it myself, this is just from a larger study I read about two years ago that compared tech of a number of coins. To everyone's surprise, Doge did pretty well.
Otoh, one thing I learned over the past years is that the tech of a coin doesn't seem to matter at all for its economic success or failure.
Dogecoin is a scam coin. It’s just pump and dump bait for the whales. Be careful or you will get wrecked on it
