AMC made their money off the IPO from shares. Just because the stock is rising doesn't mean it's making any money off anything or that they're doing well.
This is stock manipulation. That's all it is. GENERALLY, the higher the stock price is, the more appealing it appears to investors and for them to give them money since high stock prices typically mean a good ROI. However, the stock is being artificially driven up. Investors aren't going to give AMC money. They know the stocks are being shorted and people are building up the stock price to ensure the hedge fund companies go bankrupt from shorting the stock since they HAVE to come up with the stocks for the bank. Which means, they HAVE to purchase the inflated stocks from people at whatever the stock price is when the loan comes due (probably a month from yesterday).
I wrote a nice response, which you can read a little bit earlier in this thread.
I'm not going to call anyone a retard, but you don't understand what is being done. This is a teaching moment if you think this is about a Chi-Com company, it isn't! It's about restoring fairness to what's supposed to be a free capital market. The vulture capitalists that are rigging have gotten caught being massively overexposed in a short position. markets have a way of dealing with that problem, this is the way.
Please explain how AMC, a publicly traded company, is owned by someone besides the shareholders?
No.
Retard. That's not how stocks work.

AMC doesn't see any of this money.
