The problem is, they have control of the media. So they largely control the narrative. Our disinfo gets immediately labelled (accurately) "conspiracy theory nonsense". And that is spread all over through the many media outlets that have skin in the game of maintaining the status quo. Like you mentioned, the stock thing. WSB was immediately slandered. On the other hand, their disinfo gets immediately proliferated across the globe to where it becomes de jure truth that no one questions by the time it's unraveled for being false. On both sides of the spectrum, people believe their own disinfo. That's just the nature of the beast. We all have default states. If I see something about Trump that's negative, I automatically assume it's false. But I still research to see if it has merit. The vast majority of people don't do this and instead maintain their original assumption. Like a scientist who has come to a conclusion consistent with their hypothesis before running the experiment.

Since we're the media underdog, truth is our best weapon. We can be better at more aggressively applying truth. Democrats are good at this. They find something, true or false, but they keep going. They pursue everything on the table. Republicans don't for the most part. The right dies with a whimper when the left continues to assault. We did great with the Clinton emails situation and that probably secured Trump 2016. But WikiLeaks did us a solid by providing the receipts. If you don't have written proof or video proof like Project Veritas does, then there's nothing you can really do to effectively weaponize that. I'm obviously on the right and on some issues would make Ayn Rand look Communist. And I dismiss most of what I hear on any topic unless i see some hard evidence in writing.
