Elon is a guy with actual dreams and aspirations that progress humanity technologically, etc. He is walking on eggshells to make that happen regardless of Government because he has to rely on them to some extent. I think he gets political when its absolutely necessary, but he comes across as apolitical otherwise IMO.

His main focus isn't politics and that's a good thing when you're in a position that he's in.
