Just had to take our young child to the doctor because they got really sick. Literally the only thing the doctor would even talk about was how our child had coronavirus and everyone in the family NEEDED a test and everyone HAD to quarantine for 14 days. Making it sound like it was mandatory and we had no choice.
We quickly walked out.
People have lost their damn minds and I’m beyond sick of it.
Tell that doctor to go fuck off and never go back. I lost complete feeling in my right arm to be told meh physical therapy when they had no idea what happened or what was wrong. Still living with a half numb arm a year later.
It wasn’t our regular doctor but still we are done with that office. This was the final straw.
I feel your pain. I had a problem as well and went to the doctor like 4 times before they FINALLY figured out what it was after suffering for like a year.
Thats good, ive been in that situation more times than i can fathom. I hope you can find actual help and get better in time the right way.
That honestly sounds like actual malpractice.
In all my time in the field, i can count on one hand the number of doctors i’ve met who are worth a damn. All the rest are in it for the money and status.
Hope your kid gets better quickly.
My feelings as well.
Thanks, I’m sure they’ll be better soon, just wanted to make sure it wasn’t something serious, when they’re real young a high fever can be worrisome.
That is definitely worrisome, but seemed to happen pretty frequently at a very young age, then mostly go away as they get a little older. Guessing immune system development.
Yeah, I just visited my PCP. I have major issues but told her I wasn't really thinking that masks are effective. I mentioned about getting infected through the eyes from someone sneezing or whatever. She said to me, "The virus is a respiratory virus, it won't get in through your eyes." Wow. Although I explained that I didn't want to take the vaccine because it was rushed to market and I wanted to see if it started killing people with my issues. She actually agreed with me.
and heart disease can only get in through love and heartbreak
Presently, COVID testing and quarantine is their go-to protocol for flu-like symptoms. Yes, their protocol might be politicized and exaggerated, but I wouldn't take it personally.
It is theoretically possible that your child might have contracted an alternative infectious disease. In this case, he/she might need treatment. A covid test, in the mind of the physician, would at the very least rule out covid as a cause.
The Physician should have been more professional in their conduct and explanation. However, bedside manners is something that seems to be lost in many Physicians these days...
