Let's say a McDonald's needs an employee. They are willing to pay you $10 per hour because the average increased productivity is $12 per hour. But now the minimum wage goes to $15 per hour. When the company would earn $2 per hour by hiring you, they would hire you. But now by hiring you' they will lose $3 per hour. So they will NOT hire you. Instead, they will look to innovation. They will begin using a kiosk system like some other McDonald's franchises have already moved to. They didn't do it before because it cost an equivalent of maybe $11 per hour to pay for the new equipment. But now it's a better option than a $15 per hour worker. The person looking for that job will instead find out that the real minimum wage is always $0, because that's what you get when you don't get hired.

Also, it's amazing how the Democrats always prescribe the exact same policies, but pretend to want the opposite thing. Originally, Democrats pushed for and finally instituted the minimum wage, specifically to keep black Americans poor.
