What are you european or something? Guns in the US are not registered unless you're in certain deep blue areas.

A guy I work with had his guns stolen from his truck in 2016. Last year the FBI out of Atlanta is knocking at his door, one of his guns was used in a murder in Georgia. He had to find the cop, who had retired, and get him to testify to the FBI that he no longer had the weapons after 2016. Registered or not they know what guns you purchase from a FFL.

Which is funny because NICS checks aren't supposed to be saved for an extended period of time from what I understand.
