Academia has been lost for a long time.

The only way to recover it is to remove all government funding of tertiary education except those institutions which can demonstrate that they don't teach identity politics in any way.

The fact is ... every country in the west has vastly more tertiary education than they need. Most universities are entirely excess to requirements and we need to let them fold.
