Its not that easy. Banks and Countries hold vast amounts of physical silver. One would have to buy up the physical as well as paper silver. Drop the supply of physical and create a demand.
It can only push so far in the paper market. Might be enough to make a few of us a couple bucks though. Ill be watching, I own physical. If it does go high enough, ill cash in on profits.
Makes sense. I can't really imagine people pulling a GME on silver. It has extra barriers to ownership like you mentioned. They have silver ETFs, but it's not the same as actually owning physical silver, silver coins, etc.
We could wreck the silver market if we wanted to.
The biggest takeaway for me regarding GME is that retailer investors have a lot more buying power than I realized.

The physical took off tonight. Rare as ammo now with sites shutting down sales until Sunday night bell.
Wow no shit. Just checked the bullion site I use. They are all out.
Well here we go then. Wooooo woooooo
Edit: Apmex as a disclaimer. No sales until market opens.

All the buying power unfortunately and they trade with AI systems. Only way to win for the peasants is catch them slipping like last week really..
