I have been having this ongoing argument with a college-aged relative, who has been brainwashed that the Keystone pipelone is evil. Thus far, I have provided them with:

1. Maps of the THOUSANDS of oil & natural gas pipelines that have existed in the US for decades;

2. US statistical reports about any and all leaks that have occurred over the last two decades (very few and minor);

3. Warren Buffet's ownership of the railroads which make $30/barrel, as opposed to the pipeline's $10/barrel, cost to transport;

4. The CO2 emissions estimates on running all of Buffet's profit trains, compared with the pipeline;

5. Signed complaints from the Native American tribe leaders sent to Biden over the financial harm to their communities in closing down the pipeline;

6. Statistics breaking down the immediate financial hardship and devastation done to the 50k+ who lost their jobs...

After all of this evidence, brought in one topic at a time, this individual still could not process reality. They just kept echoing msm.."This pipeline is bad. It had to be closed."

Edit: Even when I asked, "Why THIS pipeline? Why not ANY of the thousands of other pipelines? Ask yourself that."

They just stared, glassy-eyed, gears whirring in their head, and said, "It will destroy native lands."
