That was part of Jesus' rejection by His home town neighbors: they considered Jesus to be a Roman/Jewish mongrel, born of fornication the product of a low-class Jewish maiden sported by some Roman soldier at the local military garrison, and recipient of Joseph the carpenter's trade.

That's part of His knowing what we face every single day, because He worked and labored among us, while "enjoying" one of the worst reputations one could have among the Jews.

At Sinai, God gave Israel through Moses the Gospel plan, in all of its grace, faith and glory, as depicted through the simple symbols of the sacrificial system. What was done in the earthly Tabernacle was but a copy of what God was doing in heaven on behalf of mankind.

Israel completely missed it, preferring to continually mix the pagan with the Divine. They wanted to be more like the people of this world, rather than people of God. They wanted to be masters here, not the servants of God ministering the pre-Cross Gospel to all mankind.

After Solomon died, the kingdom divided, and the northern 10 tribes thought they could set up and equivalent contrary to God's Word. They thought this was justifiable due to the actions of their brethren among the tribes of Judah and Benjamin.

Just like Cain did, because he hated his brother Abel. Substitutions God could never accept.

The Northern tribes were carried away in the Diaspora when Assyria wrecked the region. As these Hebrews were taken across many lands, they carried with them the important truth of the foretold Redeemer.

Judea - from which the term "Jew" comes from - also went through its amalgamation of pagan with the truth. The system they worshiped at the time of the Babylonian captivity, according to the prophet Jeremiah, sounded in some respects to Western Orthodoxy today.

After the captivity, Judeans ("Jews" for short) never did repent deeply for their sin, as God declared they should through Ezekiel. Again, they built a wall between them and those they were to minister to - the Gentiles - in order to keep themselves "pure". Except their "purity" never did wash away the filth of pride and ego away...as Jesus so very pointedly stated of them later.

At the time when the Word - the Law, the Prophets, and the Books of wisdom and History - was made flesh, what was originally given in faith, grace and symbols within the earthly sanctuary had been distorted into a burdensome system of legalism and works.

The Jews did not recognize the Gospel made flesh. They did not even know some of the elementary basics of true saving faith (John 3).

Christ ministered to Israel specifically, and pointedly told them the prophetic clock (as foretold by Daniel) was rapidly drawing to a close. The Gospel Oracles given them (John 4) would be taken away and given to others, who would bear fruitful labor in taking the Gospel to the world.

The Jews bristled at this, because they looked at the world's salvation as a Jewish-centered thing, and not God's outreach to a fallen world (as the Law and the Prophets testified of).

You do well to admit Jesus was a Jew. It comes across like you had to have that drug begrudgingly from your lips. And again to confess His coming was at variance with the expectations of the Jewish scholars and authorities of Christ's day.

After Christ left with the promise to return for us, The Gospel evangelized the then-known world. Repentant Jews and Gentiles worshipped the world's Redeemer side-by-side. So says the Book of Acts.

Many more Jews, though, rejected the Christ - the very same One their entire society was founded upon. They declared Christians to be heretical and worthy of death; some. like Gamaliel, were quite level-headed, and gave credence God could well indeed be moving among the Christian movement.

But, in AD 70, Jerusalem was sacked, and finally completely razed to the ground in AD 150. During the time from AD 50 to AD 150, the Jewish authorities had successfully convinced the Roman government the Christian sect was not really a sect of Judaism - it was a new religion, and therefore an outlawed religion of the empire.

Jews took great delight in turning Christians in to the Roman authorities - something the increasingly converted Gentile deeply resented.

This is where history records the Jews and Gentiles - of whom Paul wrote were made into one new man - diverged.

The Jews stripped from their Scriptures most everything that explicitly pointed to Christ as the Messiah. If it sounded too Christian, they rejected it. Their resulting work was the Talmudic faith, which was for all intents and purposes settled around AD 300.

It was basically the first 5 books of the Old Testament, and a few select psalms. The Prophets were largely discarded, or downgraded to "church father" status, for all practical intents and purposes.

Still, Jews continued to come to a faith in Christ, in spite of their best efforts to stamp it out.

The Gentile convert-majority Christians, on the other hand, threw away everything that even remotely smelled Jewish, calling the Jews Christ-killers, and deeming them worthy of all persecution. This process was also completed around AD 300, when Emperor Constantine would take the throne and declare Christianity the religion of the realm.

As the Christians threw away what they deemed "Jewish", they threw away God's Law, as He declared it to be at Sinai, and adopted their own form of Temple service, complete with new priests, and new High Priest (rejecting the permanent High Priest in Heaven - Jesus Christ), and a new format to being saved (works plus faith...just like in Judaism). The new majority of professed Christians leveraged the power of the throne to enact their various beliefs, and began persecuting those of the true faith as Judaizers.

God in His infinite mercy kept the Jews intact through the centuries (by every law of sociology, the Jews should have ceased being a people within 7 centuries of having their homeland destroyed and their peoples dispersed abroad).

Likewise, God in His infinite mercy has moved through those Christians of true faith throughout history, even though the "Christian" institutions largely reject God, His Word, and His Sovereignty. He has retained true faith, in spite of the efforts of "official" Christianity to stamp out the real Christianity.

When God began the Reformation, He began recapturing those truths the professed Christian institutions had thrown away. Yet, they stagnated, and God would continue to call others to bring out more truth and light. Others have fought it, forming a Counter-Reformation to drag those of faith back into shackles and bonds of institutional legalism.

God WILL take the Reformation to completion.

Yes, Jews have been jealous of Christians. the Gentile cultures adopting Christianity have mostly been white, but not all are (the Coptics come to mind here). Yes, many Jews STILL today deem the Goyim as nothing more than fodder for their schemes, but the Living God they previously served had commanded of the Jews otherwise.

Jews scheme against the Gentiles in rebellion against God's command to them.

That said, the Christian institutions have historically called Jews Christ-killers, and have historically deemed them worthy of all slaughter, even as God has commanded the Christian to deem the Jew his brother and fellow recipient of the Gospel.

So Christians today dehumanize the Jew, in rebellion to God's command to them.

So my question, in light of the Scriptures and the history flowing to us, is this:

How can you can yourself a Christian, and refuse the Lord's own heritage and His commandments? Luke 6:46; 1 John 2:3,4.

You infer I worship the Jews; that is a statement whose spirit is no different than that of the ignorant scholars and church officials who, through the various Ecumenical Councils, codified into doctrine those things the Bible robustly and soundly rejects. It didn't matter to them; the Scriptures their sounded "Jewish" so it must be "Judaizing".

Centuries upon centuries of error have been accepted as "Christian faith" simply because the Scriptures pointing to the true teachings of the Gospel were deemed over a millenia ago to be "too Jewish" to accept, even though Christ Himself laid them down as His personal example, and bids us follow.

Orthodoxies institutionally reject the concept of the 5 Sola's, particularly Sola Scriptura, in favor of exalting the various traditions of the church fathers. In this, Orthodoxies reject the Law, the Prophets, Christ, and the Apostles - all of whom declared the definitive test was "It is written...."

Protestant institutionally profess the 5 Solas, yet cringe away institutionally in favor of keeping traditions bound by centuries of error. I find the Protestant mental gymnastics on certain teachings to be amusing. I find their zeal against Jews rather disturbing, and this is a dead give-away they do not participate in the spirit of grace, as the Gospel is for all people, Jew and Christian alike.

I worship Jesus Christ, and through Him the Living Father. The fact He was born a Jew, and labored in the carpenter's trade for over a decade before His public ministry, is but a fact that cannot be conveniently discarded because we wish to make a false image of God, contrary to the 2nd Commandment.
