This has been a long play by the Texas Nationalist Movement. They have worked long and hard since 2005 to fight for Texit. Change can take years and be daunting but if any climate is ripe for this movement to succeed since the foundation in 2005, it is now. They are putting a vote to the people just like Brexit did and they can follow that model. Texas has the best chance of being able to be independent without the resources from the US and if other states follow suit, they can for an alliance with Texas so even if they don't have the infrastructure in place, it is still a viable option.
