As a German speaker and first generation American of two German parents, the optics of Deutsche paired with Trump Power are not good, problematic even. We are Americans for our President Trump, German has nothing to do with it except some of us are German speakers or who have German ancestry or love of our history. The media and many others would associate this with Nazism and White Supremacy. We must align with all peoples who are patriots and love our constitution and the rule of law.
