My grandfather did in 1986 at his Atlantic city hotel, he was in the casino lounge. He got to shake his hand, he was really laid back but also somewhat intimidating. He had a picture taken beside him too.
We were putting on a charity for after school programs in the city. Have know idea how even knew about it. He showed up. Donated some money and hung around a while. Perfectly normal guy. It was like meeting someone you already knew if that makes sense. Can’t remember the exact words.
Yes we spoke. Late 90’s. He was just a regular guy. Zero superiority about him. I’m sure he had better things to do than come to our little charity but he came. I’ll never forget it.
