Had Hydroxycholroquine been used there’s a high chance the death rate would have been much lower than it was. At most a two week lockdown would have been enough. There are significant social and economic impacts in NZ due to the lockdown. It’s not the best model, far from it.
Not the rest of the world, but as I said, there is significant fall out from the lock downs. Work on qualifying that is starting now. It’s doing ok but states and countries that did not go to full lockdown are in a better position than NZ and will on the long term be in a much better position. It’s doing fine, but it’s also a country that is and was again in this case geographically protected. NZ’s lockdown was unnecessary and did more harm than good.
