Asking for things like this is now moot. Then entities that inhabit the capital care nothing for your concerns, Any resemblance to a representative government is pure theater.

AND limit their "pension" to 2 years and 30% of their full salary. No more lifetime salary for these fuckers.

Read Article V of the United States Constitution.

https://conventionofstates.com

Among proposed amendments are term limits, balanced budget, making congress live by the same laws they pass for us, reverting the 10th amendment back to its original intent, and other proposals.

A few key points are:

  1. The current Article V resolution is designed to allow the states to propose constitutional amendments to LIMIT the power of the federal government, NOTHING ELSE. Anyone telling you different is misinformed or lying.

  2. Each amendment would have to be ratified by 38 or more states before becoming part of the U.S. Constitution. Anyone telling you there will be a "runaway convention" is misinformed or lying.

  3. U.S. Congress does not have any constitutional power to influence an Article V convention, and there is no presidential veto. This is the states' domain, via state legislatures.

  4. To date, 15 states have passed the resolution. We need 34.

  5. Because the United States Congress will NEVER relinquish its own power.

Our nation's founders were eminently wise to include this alternative method of reigning in the federal government... for exactly the reasons we are now witnessing.

I plan on running for a seat in the near future. I'd also like to add on to this and say that members of Congress should have their salaries directly tied with the median income of their constituents.

The only way this wouldn’t turn into absolute deep state control is if burocrats have term limits, too.
