So funny, my daughter went to beauty school right after High School, and she "did" my full face make up. I looked into the mirror and said, "I look like a tranny!" I may have been a bit heavy handed in my day with the black eye liner and frosty lips...but nothing like the contouring pallets, painted eyebrows, fake eye lash stuff. Everyone has their own style, and now I'm a less is more kinda American lady.
I used to use too much, but I think all young women do - it's part fun and part insecurity. Then you realize that less is more in the end. Most men don't like all that spackle on their women anyway, it's phony and tiresomely high maintenance. There's more than a few cosmetics companies nowadays that have gay men as spokes-models. Yuck. As if that's a massive consumer base, LOL

I had a cart full of items picked out for V day presents (and several for myself ;). I spend a lot $$$ there and have for 8+ years. Deleted my account last night and never buying from them again. I used to watch Amanda’s videos when she lived in TN before she moved out to LA several years ago. She was different then, more wholesome. She also was in some drama a few years ago when another youtuber accused her of “stealing” a t-shirt design. I didn’t keep up with how it played out. Even though I don’t doubt Sephora would drop Amanda for being a Trump supporter (knowing how woke these companies are getting) I am also way to familiar with the antics of these beauty youtubers over the last decade.

That's not far from the truth for me back in the 80's lol. Thing is I never wanted special treatment for being a different sort of hetero (it was a phase anyway) and was fully aware that people were going to fuck with me but it was my choice. If I didn't want to get flipped shit I could just stop doing what I was doing because I was not born that way. It was a choice I was making to get girls. Depends. There are different ways to take care of yourself. Honestly I keep makeup to extremely rare special occasions. (Like weddings or stuff.) My skin stays clear with the most minor of maintenance. The worst I get is a tiny whitehead or two before a period.
It is worth noting that attitude can greatly affect your appearance as well. Someone with a friendly, generous, or positive attitude just has a "light" to them that others do not. And I am absolutely convinced it affects how your face ages as well. It's not like you won't get wrinkles...it's more like they tend to follow what your face does.
Personally, for someone going makeupless in my 40s, I think I look pretty good on the video-conference camera at work. 😎

I used to be VIB Rogue status with them. I'm proud to say I haven't ordered from them in over a year. Got tired of all their woke crap, the overpriced products, and they were already doing less and less to keep customers' business. Drugstore products work just as well. And CVS, although they have a mask policy, they don't enforce it and are always happy with my business.
Me too, also a former VIP Rouge. The last thing I ordered was from them was Dec. 2019. My small town got a pretty good Ulta (better than the ones I use to go to living in a bigger city) and you can’t beat those 40% CVS coupons.

I've spent soooo much time looking for a decent brand and unfortunately they really are few and far between. Your best bet is to shop small and local, or try to avoid makeup all together (although I can't go that far myself.) It's really sad. I hate that you have to give money to people who hate you if you want to wear makeup. Such a shame :-(

I was dressed in jeans and a sweatshirt and was treated as if I didn't have enough money to enter. After the salesperson talked down to me I left and never went back. I was done with Sephora after this rude bitch gave me attitude and was asking me a million questions as i was trying to enter the store to get perfume (7 virtues, Vanilla Woods is the bomb). Covid blah blah. She treated me like i was carrying the plague. I said "the heck with this" and walked away.
Went to L'Occitaine where i was treated with respect and bought a nice perfume instead.
I dont wear makeup and my facial care is homemade.
